Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Jenny Broome (the tall teacher). This is my 17th year teaching in Shallowater. I have two children in college, James and Sara, both of which graduated from Shallowater High School. My husband, Jim, died suddenly of a heart attack in January 2005 and our family has been very blessed to be comforted by such a great community and school system. All children can learn! My goal is to find the way your child learns best. Reading is so important *** read with your child, and listen to him/her read daily! |

Hi! My name is Misty Caton and this is my first year with Shallowater Elementary. My husband and I have recently moved to the area with our two children, Mandy and Brett. I LOVE what I do and having the opportunity each year to share in the lives of children. The community and school system here at Shallowater are one of kind and I am honored to be a part of them both!

Hi! My name is Denisha Eaker. Many people in Shallowater know me as "DeeDee". I am a graduate of Shallowater High School. My husband, David, and I are so excited about our children getting to be a part of such a wonderful community and school. My daughter, Presley, is in the 3rd grade and my son Mason is 4 years old. I love children and getting to be a part of their learning experience. "When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments; tenderness for what he is, and respect for what he may become." My name is Sarah Masten. Shallowater has been our home for 34 years. Bill and I have three grown daughters who received all of their public education in Shallowater. It has been a blessing to be part of this community. This is my 12th year to teach second grade and I'm convinced that it is the best grade! My goal is to have a classroom atmosphere that allows children to be at ease and learn. |

Greetings from Room 119! This is my 5th year to teach here in Shallowater in second grade. Robert is a sophmore at Shallowater High School and we are excited about playing football and basketball! Our whole family loves this town and school. I feel it is a privilege to teach with "the best students and teachers in the state of Texas!" Go Mustangs! |

Hi! I am Sharon Williams and I would like to welcome you to Second Grade. Shallowater has a rich small town heritage. I should know, since my dad grew up and went to school here, and so did I. This is my 29th year to teach and my 22st in Shallowater. I have traveled to many states presenting Johnny Can Spell phonics to teachers. My love has been reading and teaching children to love reading. |
