Hello! My name is Cherie' Blewett and I have taught in the Shallowater school system for 22 years. I taught Kindergarten for 17 years before returning to school to become a certified academic language therapist. I was trained in the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children method. This coming year will be the 6th year I have been working as the district dyslexia therapist. I have found this field very rewarding.

I serve as a Reading Interventionist at Shallowater Elementary. This is my fourth year at Shallowater. My husband and I pastor 3rd Day Fellowship in Lubbock and we have two children who attend Shallowater. Samuel is in the 4th grade and Cooper is in 1st grade. I enjoy spending time with my family, good coffee, and pilates. It is my privilege to serve your children at Shallowater Elementary.
 
 
As the Reading Coach for grades Kindergarten - Third Grade, my job is to provide support to our staff in teaching Reading. I have been a teacher in Shallowater since 1988, teaching in first grade, second grade, and reading intervention. My husband and I have 4 children in Shallowater schools -- William is a Junior, Calli is a Freshman, Carri is in 4th grade, and Weston is in 1st grade. I am so proud to be a part of this school system and community.

My name is Janis Foraker. I am the campus math interventionist and resource teacher. This is my 23rd year to teach in the Shallowater school system. My husband and I have 3 children, all SHS graduates. We have 4 grandchildren. I feel blessed to be a part of this school system.
 

My name is Dana Burton and this is my eighth year to teach music at Shallowater Elementary. My husband and I have three wonderful daughters. Our two oldest graduated from SHS and the other is in high school. We all love being a part of this great community. Music is a vital part in a child's education and it enhances every aspect of their learning experience. I believe that music is in the heart of every child...I try to help them find it and love it!

I am a Reading Interventionist in the morning and a P.E. teacher in the afternoon. I have been teaching for 23 years and I love working with children.

This is my third year as counselor and it is a wonderful place to be! My husband, Brendan, and I have two children. Kondi, our daughter, is in 2nd grade and Kade, our son, is 4 years old. We love living in Shallowater and I am very excited to be a part of this school.

This is my third year as school nurse with Shallowater Elementary, however, I have been a school nurse for 17 years at all ages. I believe my role in the school is to help our students stay healthy, safe and in class where they can learn. I am here to help.

I serve as the Speech-Language Pathologist for the Elementary Campus. This is my second year at Shallowater and my fourth year in the profession. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I provide services to students with articulation, language, fluency and communication difficulties. I am very excited to be a part of this school system!
 
 

 

This is my fourth year to serve as the Educational Diagnostician for the Elementary campus. This is my 17th year to serve in this profession. As an educational diagnostician I assess students for special education services. I love my job and Shallowater Independent School District.
